In order to maybe get their new baby a more interesting touch, Apple has recently released the 2.3 version of their Apple TV firmware. The main objective of the said firmware update is to add AirTunes streaming as part of the Apple TV features as well as provide support for third party remotes.
The Version 2.3 firmware update is available through the Apple TV’s built-in update feature. It allows streaming music via AirTunes to Airport Express speakers or to any other Apply TV console in the vicinity.
The firmware update also allows support for third party remote controls in addition to Apple TV’s own remote. The firmware update will also allow viewing of play lists in iTunes that contain TV shows, movies, music videos etc on the Apple TV.
