Widefault’s Hackintosh Junior

Want to have a smaller Mac but cannot have it since Apple would rather craft their own stuff? You can now rejoice as one fan of the aluminum Mac Pro tower decided to make one, the Hackintosh Junior. The device is the creation of modder Widefault (the same guy who made the Lunchbox Firewall and the Geiger Counter PC), who made it from hand-shaped sheet aluminum and mesh.

Inside the Hackintosh Junior is an Aaeon Gene-9310 embedded board that sports an Intel Core Duo T2500 (board supports up to a Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33GHz), 2GB OCS DDR2-667, Wi-Fi connectivity, and Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ATA hard drive. This baby is not exactly what you call a powerhouse, but it will definitely work for the basics.

The Hackintosh Junior is not commercially available. However, this labor of love will surely grab plenty of attention for folks who are deeply in love with a small-sized Mac with the Mac Pro tower. The tiny device is 5.5 inches tall, 7 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. It is a little larger compared to the Mac Mini.

Overall, we like the idea in Hackintosh Junior. It has got good looks as well as low power requirements. It is one of the best we have seen in a while.
