The personal navigation device industry may not be as profitable as expected, but other companies continue to push the envelope in providing the latest PND models. After several months of "hiatus," Magellan introduces its latest addition named Maestro 4700.
The Magellan Maestro 4700 has cleared the FCC just in time for the summer, when driving is expected to go up. According to its user handbook, which has been leaked online, this latest navigation device will include support for voice commands, OneTouch user interface, Bluetooth, and traffic alerts, all presented in a presumably 4.7-inch display. Nothing special, really (that is, unless they are hiding something amazing from our midst).
Expect more updates about Magellan’s Maestro 4700 in a few months, as it may hit the shelves right before Memorial Day.
