HTC Hero Available in UK for Free

The newest Android smartphone from HTC has arrived in style.  The HTC Hero will become available in the United Kingdom beginning today exclusively to Orange and you can have your very own unit for free.  Yes, free.  But there is a catch, though.

Available in graphite hue, the HTC Hero features the HTC Sense technology that lets you arrange your home screen to display the things that are important to you.  You can even switch it between weekday and weekend modes, listen to your favorite music with its MP3 player, or take pictures of your moments with its 5-megapixel camera.  You can also get connected with your friends through e-mail and social networks.  Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, microSD external memory, TFT touch screen, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA.

You can avail of a free HTC Hero on a pay monthly contract, or what they call "Pay as You Go."  Although the official price has yet to be revealed by Orange, nevertheless a free phone still is a free phone no matter where you look at it.
