OQO Model 02+ UMPC

It seems that the mobile PC market is getting more exciting by the day. More and more companies are trying to come out with their own versions of mobile PC’s that offer something unique to consumers. One that recently came out is the OQO Model 2+.

The OQO Model 2+ looks even unique in terms of design and it features the first mobile PC with an OLED display. The OLED display enables users to enjoy brighter, sharper and clearer images with its one million to one contrast ratio. An OLED display has faster response times as well as consumes lesser power than current conventional displays. The OQO Model 2+ also features an intuitive touch screen interface aside from its own 58 key slide out thumb keyboard with its own track stick.

The OQO Model 2+ runs on a 1.86 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM memory 120GB Solid State Drive, with 120 GB HDD also available. The OQO Model 2+ also comes equipped with the Gobi Global Mobile Internet that allows connectivity that supports the current and leading 3G cellular standards in most parts of the world. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. Battery life may be its shortcoming though as it can only get around two to three hours in between charges.
