An official photo of the BlackBerry Onyx has surfaced in CIO along with a short press release regarding T-Mobile’s first 3G BlackBerry smartphone. According to the carrier, the BlackBerry Onyx features a high-gloss black finish and leather grain detail at the back. Its features include high-speed 3G Web browsing, Wi-Fi calling, visual voicemail, and support for corporate and personal e-mail. It is also preloaded with mobile applications found in BlackBerry App World like Amazon MP3 store and TeleNav GPS Navigator.
Officially named BlackBerry 9700, this yet-to-be-announced Onyx appears like a combination of the BlackBerry’s previous models then added a new optical trackball to make it "unique." A more detailed specification is yet to be revealed, as well as the price, but we are sure that the BlackBerry Onyx will become available in early November 2009.
