Nokia has unveiled its first handset with TD-SCDMA, which is China’s 3G standard. The Nokia 6788, a product of the company’s collaboration with China Mobile (which is also the world’s largest mobile phone operator), is an all-in-one device that features faster Internet speeds and download times. It also includes a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, 4GB of expandable memory, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0, and Symbian S60 OS.
The Nokia 6788 incorporates traditional Chinese design elements on its slide and battery cover. This handset is expected to become available to China Mobile’s 500 million subscribers on December 2009.
