Pandigital Portable Photo Printer

Pandigital and Zink Imaging recently released their first product as business allies: the Pandigital Portable Photo Printer.  This portable 4 x 6-inch printer is the first in the world to use Zink’s Zero Ink Printing Technology.  The two companies aim to launch a series of devices that are compact, easy-to-use, and earth-friendly.

The Pandigital Portable Photo Printer is a marriage of Zink’s printing technology platform and Pandigital’s imaging know-how.  The "no ink printing" feature is achieved by its patented Zink Paper, which contains embedded yellow, magenta, and cyan dye crystals.  Results become more accessible as photographers, whether hobbyists or professionals, can print out their images in real time, taking the printer anywhere they go without have to worry about ink cartridges or ribbons.  The portable printer also features a memory card slot, a preview LCD, and an intuitive user interface.

The Pandigital Portable Photo Printer is available in limited release by the end of the year and will become available in the United States on the first quarter of 2010, costing US$149.99, excluding the $39.99 Zink Paper.
