The Liquid A1, Acer’s first smartphone that runs on Android OS, is now available in the United Kingdom through online retailers. This Android phone has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, and a variety of connectivity options such as quadband GPRS, triband 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. It runs on a 768MHz Snapdragon processor and powered by a 1,350mAh battery.
This phone may not be the slimmest in the market, but early reviews have been raving about its performance. The user interface is not much tinkered compared to other Android phones, so users who are adept to Android 1.6 would not have a hard time navigating through it.
The Acer Liquid A1 can be purchased on Expansys and Clove, costing £339.99 (about US$556) and £328.99 (about $538) respectively.
