A lot of people had lengthened their faces from frowning too much, especially when they learned that the Apple iPad will not support Flash. In reaction to this, Adobe group manager Adrian Ludwig stated in the company’s Flash Platform blog about their frustrations.
"There’s something important missing from Apple’s approach to connecting consumers to content," Ludwig wrote. "It looks like Apple is continuing to impose restrictions on their devices that limit both content publishers and consumers."
Ludwig added, "without Flash support iPad users will not be able to access the full range of web content, including over 70 percent of games and 75 percent of video on the Web." This means that iPad users will never enjoy visiting the likes of Disney, Huli, Miniclip, Farmville, ESPN, Kongregate, and JibJab, all of which require Flash to function.
In the same blog post, Adobe is said to be working with "more than 50 partners" in developing and publishing content to any device through their Open Screen Project, which aims to provide open access to users’ favorite interactive media, regardless of the device that people choose to use.
