Reebok ZigTech Makes Running Less Strenuous

Reebok introduces its newest product called the ZigTech, a type of running shoes that features a zigzagging foam at the bottom. It aims to lessen the risk of injury as the athlete runs with the heels, providing a soft and springy run as the zigzag-shaped sole helps absorb the impact of each heel strike before transferring the energy along the length of the shoe.
Reebok claims that wearing zigzag soles “causes up to 20% less wear and tear on key leg muscles, especially the sins and hamstrings.” Among those who train using the ZigTech footwear include world-class athletes like Eli Manning, Shane Mosley, Allen Iverson, and David Ortiz.
ZigTech from Reebok will debut on March 11, 2010 at major retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, and Finish Line, as well as on Reebok’s online store. However, we think you should consider running with the balls of your feet landing first to prevent joint injuries.
