Shanghai will have its first glimpse on the future of urban mobility (think Segway) with its EN-V (Electric Networked-Vehicle) concept . This two-seater vehicle is a modified version of its previous prototype, the P.U.M.A., and is said to have twin electric motors as well as “dynamic stabilization technology” that allows it to turn automatically using its integrated GPS. It can be charged using a convenient wall outlet and is expected to run up to 40 kilometers on a single charge.
The EN-V was engineered to “alleviate concerns surrounding traffic congestion, parking availability, air quality, affordability for tomorrow’s cities.” It comes in three designs: Jiao (Pride), Miao (Magic), and Xiao (Laugh).
Still no word whether it will even hit production, but it sure looks promising!
