The June 22 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live was special in every way because they were able to tape it even though power went out by recording the whole thing using a laptop webcam. Seth Rogen, who was promoting his upcoming movie Green Hornet, and John Henson of TV show Wipeout guested, with a performance from country star Dierk Bentley. Click here to see how it turned out.
The outage affected the studio’s control room, broadcast transmission center, and tape operations area, which is why the show still had its lights on and the microphones were working (which were probably powered using a back-up generator).
