Mozilla’s mobile browser, Firefox 1.1, is now available for the first time on Maemo-based smartphones like the Nokia N900 or N810, beating the iOS, Android, and any other mobile operating system. Features include portrait browsing, auto-updating add-ons, the “smart tap” function that lets users click through tiny links, and the ability to save web pages as PDF.
If you have any of the phones mentioned, simply visit Firefox.com/m using your phone browser or you can input your phone number on the Firefox Mobile web page and receive a text message containing the download link. Note that standard SMS rates apply, although the download comes free of charge.
