The newest iPod Touch catches up with the upgrade of its cousin into the iPhone 4 with features such as a retina display, an Apple a4 core, tri-axis gyroscope, Game Center, and FaceTime support due to the inclusion of a front-facing camera. It even has a rear-facing cam for HD video recording purposes. And just like in previous iPod Touch version, this one does not have voice calling or else it would be perceived as an iPhone twin.

The new iPod Touch is now available for pre-order and is expected to be shipped next week, costing US$229 for 8GB and $299 for 32GB. As you may have noticed, the 16GB and 128GB versions are a thing of the recent past.
