Google TV is said to be launched soon, but how soon still remains a mystery. Various sources report that the service could be launched late September, costing US$299.
Engadget has posted several screenshots of what appears to show Logitech Revue’s launch date as September 29 if the device is ordered from Dish Network. Now that explains why a free six-month subscription to Dish Network is included in the recent Google TV giveaway at one of their events. Dish subscribers should also rejoice to know that they can avail of the unit at a discounted price of $179.
Let us hope that Google could convincingly explain to the public the $299 pricetag. We are all ears.
