Square Enix has announced its latest installment of Dragon Quest ahead of its supposed unveiling at the Tokyo Games Show 2011. Entitled “Dragon Quest X: Awakening of the Five Tribes Online,” it is the first online version of the 25-year-old RPG series, which will be available on both the Wii and the Wii U.
This console-based MMORPG allows players to explore the same world on both the Wii and Wii U. Game data can even be transfered to the Nintendo 3DS and share it with other players through Streetpass. Players can choose between five races, form parties with other online players, and take on an adventure across five continents of the Astortia world. The game can also be played offline. Dragon Quest X is solely developed by Square Enix, unlike its most recent DQ titles that were created by Level-5.
We have to wait for the Tokyo Games Show to know more about availability details.
