Toshiba has recently announced that it is coming up with the Toshiba FlashAir SDHC memory card. What makes this flash card unique is that it comes with a Wireless LAN function built in. with this feature, supported digital cameras and other devices may be able to transfer image files wirelessly and more conveniently.
The new Toshiba FlashAir WiFi SD card may be considered as the cheapest solution to wirelessly transfer image files from digital camera to PC or smartphone. It has a two way function that allows the SD card to not only send files wirelessly but also receive files from another compatible device. The Toshiba FlashAir WiFi SD card is expected to be available in Japan sometime in February of next year. The 8GB version is expected to cost at an equivalent of around US$90.
