World’s Smallest Digital Camera

While digital cameras today seem to be getting smaller and slimmer, its a wonder just how small they can possibly go. And currently, the smallest a digital camera can go can be found in this diminutive gadget from Hammacher Schlemmer. Aptly called the “World’s Smallest Digital Camera”, this might be the smallest a digital camera can go, for now.

This World’s Smallest Digital Camera measures just over an inch all around and weighs around half an ounce. Now that is small for a digital camera. But that is its appeal. Inside its small housing is a 2MP sensor that can capture still images as well as video at 30fps with a 640 x 480 resolution. Images are saved as JPEG’s while videos are in AVI format. It also has space for a microSD card that can be expanded for up to 32GB of total storage. A rechargeable battery is good for up to 30 minutes of use for an hour’s worth of charge. The World’s Smallest Digital Camera is available at Hammacher Schlemmer for US$100.
