Panasonic Lumix GX1 Compact System Camera

For those people who look for convenience when taking pictures, they usually go for compact point and shoot cameras since they do everything quite automatically to capture good images. But there are others who look for the same convenience as well as better quality images that most compact digital cameras may not be able to provide, especially in certain challenging situations. In order to strike up a balance between such needs, Panasonic has come up with its new Panasonic Lumix GX1 Compact System Camera.

The Panasonic Lumix GX1 Compact System Camera has the convenience offered by most point and shoot cameras with an added option of having interchangeable lens for those who wish for better performance now and then. It is designed using the Micro Four Thirds System Standard, making it compact yet provide better image capturing features than a usual digital camera.

The Panasonic Lumix GX1 features a 16MP Live MOS sensor with a Venus Engine for image processing power. It has a maximum 12800 high ISO sensitivity, making it quite capable of capturing images even in low light situations. It also features 0.09 sec Light Speed AF as well as a Precise Contrast AF to ensure great image captures with each shot. It comes with a 3-inch touch LCD screen with an intuitive interface for ease of use. It is also capable of taking HD video as well as 3D shooting modes. The Panasonic Lumix GX1 is expected to be available in the market sometime in the middle of December. It is expected to cost around US$700, excluding the lens kits available.
