50 Cent Headphones Now Available for Pre-Order

After weeks of teasing, SMS Audio now accepts pre-orders for the 50 Cent-branded over-the-ear headphones. The wireless over-the-ear headset costs $399, while the wired version comes in at $299. Both models are expected to be shipped beginning December 5.

If you only learn about the 50 Cent headphones just now, here is a refresher: rapper 50 Cent and his company sought the help of Sleek Audio to build a wireless headset that aims to compete with Beats. The resulting product was demonstrated in Sleek Audio’s booth during the CES 2011, but the deal broke down last May. Over the summer, 50 Cent’s SMS Audio acquired KonoAudio and eventually created a new line of headphones.

Meanwhile, the $129 50 Cent earbuds are not yet available and may take several weeks before pre-order stage begins.
