ExoPC’s Multitouch EXOdesk: Way Cheaper than What Samsung Offers

ExoPC has teased us with a video featuring its multitouch surface called the EXOdesk, which is set to be publicly demonstrated at CES in January 2012. The desk measures 40 inches, or what they like to call “high-definition inches,” and supports a variety of multitouch gestures.

The video teaser, posted on YouTube, runs for under one minute. You get to see what the EXOdesk can do, such as running apps at full-screen, swiping widgets to close them, swiping the corner with four fingers to open what seems to be an RSS feed, and swiping individual items on the feed to make them disappear.

ExoPC has revealed that its EXOdesk will be available for retail next year with a suggested price of $1,299, which is about 85% cheaper than the $8,400 being offered for the new Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft Surface.
