Ford Unveils 2013 Fusion Hybrid Vehicle

Ford Motors has unleashed its next year’s hybrid vehicle. Apart from the usual stuff expected from a hybrid car, the 2013 Ford Fusion comes decked with a bunch of gadgetry like lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

Inside this vehicle is the latest version of MyFord Touch infortainment system, which comes paired with SYNC. Some controls such as charging, heating, and cooling, can be controlled remotely via MyFord Mobile.

Is hybrids not your thing? Don’t worry, the 2013 Fusion also comes in gasoline and plug-in hybrid variants. This mid-sized sedan can consume up to 37 miles per gallon of gasoline on highway mode, while the hybrid can zoom all the way to 47 miles per gallon on city mode. The plug-in hybrid, meanwhile, can run at an estimated 100 miles per gasoline equivalent. That’s 7MPGe better than the Chevrolet Volt and 13MPGe more than the Toyota Prius. The Ford Fusin will also roam electrically for 20 miles before it starts its engine and can accelerate all the way up to 62 miles per hour just on battery power.

Ford has yet to reveal the price of its 2013 Fusion, but it is expected to appear in U.S. showrooms later this year.
