Alienware unleashes its smallest gaming-oriented desktop computer to date. The X51 looks similarly to a gaming console, but we are pretty sure gamers would not mind at all.
The basic Alienware X51 features a Core i3 processor and NVIDIA GT545 graphics chipset and costs just $699. Users can opt for upgrades, with a price of course. For $1149, for instance, they can have a X51 with Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 550. Add a few more dollars and you can have the system slabbed with a Blu-ray drive. Other standard specs include a 1TB hard drive, HDMI 1.4, WiFi, a slot-loading DVD burner, and Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound. Take note that monitors are sold separately.
The X51 is expected to be shipped beginning next week.
