The Cube 3D Printer For Homes

Printing technology certainly has come a long way. No longer is it limited just to the usual 2D printing. The technology now allows for people to make 3D printing possible. It has been fairly useful in many industrial settings where it has been used actually for some time now. But with the new Cube 3D Printer from 3D Systems, this technology may now be available for home use.

The Cube is probably the first 3D printer designed for home use. It is capable of printing 3D objects 5.5 X 5.5 X 5.5 in. or 140 x 140 x 140 mm in size. Limitations aside, it now allows households to dabble in their own creativity creating 3D object and have it printed right in the comfort of their own home. Objects are printed in durable ABS plastic that are available in 10 colors. The Cube is now available at Cubify for US$1,299. It may not yet be that affordable for most households, but it is a start that for a device may just become quite popular in the near future as they get more common and cheaper.
