ePawn Arena Interactive IPS Screen

For device makers, it pays to introduce a device that is still not that common in the market. But it can also be a risk. But the outcome won’t be known if a device maker doesn’t at least try. It all may be down to effective marketing for some. And for the new ePawn Arena IPS (In-Plane Switching) screen, it might just need that.

The ePawn Arena is a 26 inch IPS screen that can offer a unique feature when it comes to gaming. When connected to a smartphone or tablet, this display is able to interact with any physical device that is placed on top of it. It makes use of ePawn tracking technology that distinguish physical markers and where they are placed on its surface. Just imagine how it can be used for playing digital board games or chess.

The ePawn Arena does provide a unique gaming experience that most people are not yet that acquainted with. The ePawn Arena has just recently been displayed at the 2012 CES and it might be available sometime in the second half of the year. Pricing details have not yet been provided.
