Apple.pro, an Apple-focused tech blog based in China, claims that the company’s upcoming iteration of the iPod Nano will be just as small as its predecessor. It does, however, come with a twist: a camera at the back. The blog even posted photos in case doubts arise.
This hardware update would see the return of the shooter in this mini media player. The 5th-generation Nano had a camera, which Apple then scrapped in its 6th version–along with a built-in speaker–to make it even smaller.
The leak is backed up by fellow Chinese blog micgadget, citing its “factory sources,” adding that the new camera will have 1.3 megapixels. It may seem small, but sensors with bigger megapixels require larger space.
Micgadget also claims the prototype was photographed about two months ago, which bears the camera that seems to be blocked a bit by the Nano’s clip at the back.
