Tablets and smartphones are considered as the most popular portable devices today. It may seem that other gadgets may find it hard to penetrate and overcome their lead any time soon. But that does not mean that gadget makers won’t try to. LG may just be trying to do so by coming up with the LG Optimus Vu.
The LG Optimus Vu is designed to be a device that comes between a smartphone and a tablet. It is bigger than current smartphones today but also smaller than a tablet. In fact, LG is trying to promote this gadget as a “phablet”, a cross between a phone and a tablet.
The LG Optimus Vu is designed with a 5 inch touchscreen display and powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It runs with the Android Gingerbread OS and supports LTE technology. It also comes with an 8MP camera, 1GB DDR2 RAM and 32GB internal storage. The LG Optimus Vu is set to be available in Korea in March. Pricing details are yet to be announced.
