Bitsbox Teaches Your Kids To Code

Bitsbox

Kids nowadays are more tech savvy than most adults. In fact, they seem to absorb everything faster and easier when it comes to learning about technology. Their exposure to today’s many wonderful gadgets may certainly have helped. Parent can even take a more advanced approach to learning by letting kids learn about coding. Bitsbox will be a good way to teach kids how to code at an early age.

It may seem daunting to teach kids how to code programs. After all, many adults find it difficult to do. But the best approach to teaching kids to code is by starting early. The only problem is how to make it more fun and enjoyable for the kids. That is what Bitsbox aims to do.

Bitsbox makes use of a two-part learning system to teach kids how to code. First, there is the Bitsbox website which provides kids with a virtual tablet that can run the codes and apps they build. It will help them know if the app works or the coding they made is right. A QR code also appears on the screen that kids can scan and run the app into any tablet or smartphone.

The other part of the learning system is the monthly subscription box that provides kids with different coding projects to try out. The box comes with materials that will instruct kids how to build or code app projects. The code for the app is on the printed pages that kids can transfer to their account on the Bitsbox website. Kids then learn how to type in the code and learn how to run it through the virtual tablet.

Over time, kids will learn how to dabble with the code to customize it such as changing color, image size or movement speed. In the process, kids get to learn how each part of the code works. As they eventually gather more and more app projects to try out, their coding knowledge gradually increases and develops.

Bitsbox takes advantage of free play in order to make coding fun and enjoyable for the kids, not to mention giving them fun app projects to build. Bitsbox subscribers will get new app projects monthly to re-ignite a kid’s interest in coding. Getting physical stuff in the mail will help keep kids excited to enable them to keep learning. Kids as young as 7 years old can try out and enjoy this unique learning tool for making apps using Bitsbox. It is available for pre-order at their Kickstarter page along with the details of their coding learning kit, which is expected to be available around April this year.
