While most people nowadays have grown accustomed to robots, there are times when some still elicit quite an impression. And with AI technology becoming even more advanced, some robots are slowly becoming more intelligent. They do not have to be large and imposing. Some robots smaller in size like this new Kirobo Mini from Toyota can do some amazing things despite its diminutive size.
The Kirobo Mini Robot may be considered tiny, but it can be quite a companion. This robot is a result of Toyota partnering up with famed robot maker Tomotaka Takahashi to develop the robot, which was miniature version of Japan’s first robotic astronaut. The miniaturized version is what makes this robot unique.
The Kirobo Mini robot can do more than just move, turn its head, or say some phrases. This Robot can actually interact with people. It comes with voice recognition so that it will know who it is talking to. It can also sense when you are sad based on your expressions and will communicate with you. It requires an app for it to communicate and talk. The Kirobo Mini robot is designed to communicate with its owners. Unfortunately, it can only understand and talk in Japanese for now. Charging time is three hours which is good for communicating with Kirobo Mini for 2.5 hours non stop. The Toyota miniature robot is expected to be available in the Japanese market sometime at the end of this month and will cost around $652.
