Notebook hybrids come with unique features that make them stand out from typical notebooks in the market. Some offer a notebook that can be converted into a tablet with just a turn of the display screen. One example is the new Aspire R 13 Series recently introduced by Acer.
The Acer Aspire R 13 is a notebook hybrid that can function in other different modes for added user convenience. Its unique feature is the Ezel Aero Hinge that allows the notebook’s display to set in six different positions. Users can choose from different modes on using the Acer Aspire R 13. Aside from the Notebook Mode, the Acer Aspire R 13 can also be used in Ezel Mode, Stand Mode, Pad Mode, Display Mode and Tent Mode. The patented hinge system also keeps the display stable and in place when used for touch navigation.
The Acer Aspire R 13 is encased in a strong sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for extra durability. There is a choice between Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, up to 1TB Solid State Drive with RAID-0 support, runs on Windows 8, and with up to 8GB of RAM. It is also just an inch thick and 1.5 kg in weight. This notebook hybrid also has up to 8 hours of battery life. The Acer Aspire R 13 is expected to be available sometime in October and November. Prices are expected to start at $900.
