Laptops have evolved into something different through the years. First, the changes in size and weight became the most noticeable features of the newer models. Next, they have become quite versatile in terms of function as the 2-in-1 laptops were developed. And now, the evolution is still continuing as these laptops now add more features. In the case of the new Acer Switch Alpha 12, it is the insides that seem to matter. It is what you do not see from the outside that makes it stand out.
You see, the new Acer Switch Alpha 12 is not just your typical hybrid laptop. This one is the first ever liquid cooled laptop. This means it does not require cooling fans to prevent its processor from overheating. It will feature the Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology for keeping its 6th generation Intel Core processor working efficiently. It is also coming with Windows 10 and a battery life that can last for up to eight hours.
With a 12-inch display, it can provide full PC functionality as well as productivity and entertainment features both in its tablet and notebook modes. The new Acer Switch Alpha 12 will come in a variety of configurations to suit different needs. It is expected to be available in North America sometime in June of this year. Prices for this liquid-cooled 2-in-1 notebook is expected to start somewhere around $599.
