Apple New Mac Pro

After Apple has completed its systems’ transition to Intel platforms, it finally introduced its brand new Mac Pro and XServe Systems for professional workstation and server customers. Only a few changes was made externally but switching the CPU architectures is an impressive feat, as it enabled PCs to run Mac OS X.

The move to Intel seems to be pleasing, as end users wouldn’t actually notice of the dramatic changes that Apple’s OS has gone through. Those who have familiarized themselves with MacBook Pro and the new iMac won’t think of the transition a hassle at all. Also considered as the fastest Mac ever made, the New Mac Pro uses the fastest Intel Xeon architecture: 3.2GHz 8-core Xeon processing and a 1600 MHz memory.

The New Mac Pro includes the PCI Express 2.0 graphics slot which doubles bandwidth and supports the latest generation of graphic cards from NVIDIA (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT with 512MB of video memory or NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 with 1.5 GB of video memory). It also has a 3-D stereo port. Its support up to four graphic cards can drive up to eight 30-inch displays at once for advanced visualization.

Clearly, Apple is ultimately leading the innovation of the computers, operating systems and professional applications. It is definitely leading the industry as it has entered the world of music and video players, online music and mobile phones. With such innovation of MacPro, Apple’s effort to surprise to users seem to be limitless.
