Some people just cannot sleep in total darkness. They usually need a night light turned on when they head to bed. This device may become more appealing with a tech makeover of sorts. A possible result of this can turn out to be something like the Aumi night light.
The Aumi night light is not just a simple light that you use for your room when you go to bed. It actually functions more than that. The Aumi is a smart night light. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity. It also features a LED lighting system able to display a wide range of color options.
Not only that, the Aumi night light can be controlled using your smartphone and a free downloaded app. Users can either use the whole device as a knob or through an app in order to adjust the light’s brightness. When connected to a smartphone, the Aumi can also be used as an alert light to notify users when a text or call arrives. The Aumi can also be used as an emergency light source in case of power outages. Kids can even use them as a light source when moving out of bed in the dark.
The Aumi smart night light plugs in to a power outlet to power it. This night light also comes with a built-in rechargeable battery for hours of supplementary power in case of a power outage. Its design is more stylish than other typical portable night lights out there. Other features include on and off timer, a sensor that turns the light automatically with the passing of day into night or vice versa and many more.
The Aumi is currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter. Interested parties can pledge $35 to get one. The Aumi is expected to ship around December of this year.
