VR headsets have become a popular gadget nowadays. Aside from getting the VR experience with the convenience of wearing a headset, some people just wanted to have a way to enjoy videos and video games while on the go. The VR headset surely provides that convenience. But one of the things that such headsets lack is their portability, making it lack in terms of the coolness factor. This new Avegant Glyph surely aims to change that.

The Avegant Glyph is a unique headset that looks cool just like the ordinary ones. It does look like those cool headphones everyone is wearing. But the Avegant Glyph comes with a video function that allows users to use the headphones to watch movies, play games, and more. The video display works by reflecting light using two million micro mirrors. It tries to replicate natural human vision. This way, users will  not burn out their eyes while watching a video display at such a close range.

The Avegant Glyph plugs in to a smartphone, tablet, gaming console, and even a drone, giving users different visual perspectives and options. It can also connect wirelessly to any device using an adapter, extending its reach up to 40,000 feet or about 7.5 miles away. The Avegant Glyph was just was a prototype[1] but is now available for users. You can get one from Amazon for $499.
