Along with the plasticky Apple iPhone 5C, the prominent tech company also unveiled the latest among the premium iPhone models. The iPhone 5S has twice the performance power of its predecessor, the iPhone 5, in terms of processing and graphics and also sports 64-bit architecture.

The new iPhone 5S comes with brand-new A7 processor and runs on an improved iOS 7 . It also sports an M7 motion co-processor, which handles the smartphone’s accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass.

The device even has a touch ID fingerprint sensor embedded right inside the Home button. It can scan fingerprints in any orientation up to sub-dermal layers, enabling users to unlock the iPhone 5S without the need to enter a PIN or make iTunes purchases without having to type in a password.

While it still sports an 8-megapixel camera, the iPhone 5S’s camera has slight improvements like its larger aperture (from f/2.4 to f/2.2), auto image stabilization, an auto Burst mode, and a slow-motion camera app that lets you record video at up to 120 frames per second at 720p resolution.

The auto image stabilization allows users to take multiple photos in one go and combine the sharpest parts of each into a single image. Meanwhile, the Burst mode is activated simply by holding the shutter, snapping up to 10 photos per second.

The iPhone 5S will be available in Apple stores starting September 20. Consumers can choose between black, silver, and gold cases.

It will be priced just similarly to previous iPhone models: $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB (all with two-year carrier contracts).
