Recording action shots requires more than just an ordinary camcorder. Action cams have become popular just for this very purpose. They have features that allow users to capture action videos as it happens and in whatever the weather and situation. GoPro currently leads the pack for action cams. But other players are coming with comparable action sports cams like the JVC ADIXXION.
The new JVC ADIXXION action camera was announced recently as an upgrade to the original ADIXXION action camera. The new JVC GC-XA2 ADIXXION comes with JVC’s Quad-proof design, which makes it waterproof for up to five meters, shockproof from a 2-meter drop, dust- and freeze-proof as well. In this manner, it retains the same features as the original ADIXXION cam. But there are other features upgraded to make the new action cam compete well in a rapidly increasing market. The new JVC ADIXXION now features Progressive Full HD recording at 1,920 x 1,080 on 60p or 50p. It is also now capable of high-speed recording on 1,280 x 720 resolutions at 120fps / 100fps for 4x slow-motion playback.
The new JVC ADIXXION Action Cam also now comes with a brighter and wider-angle lens. It also features an improved image stabilization function and comes with a higher resolution LCD display. A higher-resolution image sensor was also put in as well as a higher audio bit rate for better noise reduction. All these added features are built into a compact and rugged body that weighs only 135 grams. The new JVC ADIXXION Action Cam will be available in retail stores sometime in late July. It is expected to cost around US$300.
