Ever heard of the saying, “Try and try until you succeed”? Microsoft is doing just that as the company announces the Surface Pro 3. Marking the third time Microsoft attempts to make a crack in the competitive tablet market, the Surface Pro 3 is its largest, lightest, and thinnest tablet yet.

More than being an iPad rival, Microsoft positions its new tablet as a convertible laptop, allowing users to enjoy the productivity of a PC and the portability and comfort of a mobile device. It features a 12-inch screen, weighs just 1.76 pounds, and has a 0.36-inch profile.

Its keyboard cover, meanwhile, can be attached magnetically onto the tablet’s screen for added sturdiness. It is also more flexible than its predecessors, allowing users to position the tablet at any angle. There is also a stylus, which Microsoft would rather call a “pen,” that ensures smooth, uninterrupted writing on the screen.

The tablet also sports an Intel Core i3 processor, 64GB of memory, and 4GB of RAM.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is available for pre-order starting at $799. Its keyboard cover, which turns the device into a laptop-tablet hybrid, starts at $129.99.
