The Panasonic Limux DMC-GF1 is a prime example that size does not necessarily matter when it comes to top of the line system cameras. The Lumix GF1 may be considered today as probably the lightest and the smallest system camera around. It is a feature that would certainly appeal for people with discriminating tastes in photography but don’t want to be hassled by the size and weight of such equipment.
The Panasonic Lumix GF1 digital camera features a more streamlined slim body design making it look both stylish and elegant. System cameras are known for their interchangeable lens features and it is something that applies to the Lumix GF1. At its very basic, the GF1 features a 12.1 mega pixel Live MOS sensor for better image quality and resolution using lesser power. It also comes with a 3.0 inch Intelligent LCD that allows more vivid and detailed image quality when viewing the results.
Despite its small stature, the Panasonic DMC-GF1 offers features that can rival most D-SLR cameras. It includes other automated features that allow image capturing easy and convenient such as Automated Tracking and Face Detection modes for better image quality. Manual settings are also provided at optimum levels to allow advanced photographers to determine the best adjustments for certain conditions. The Lumix GF1 is available at Panasonic for US$900.
