Finally, D2 fans' prayers for a bigger internal capacity have been answered. Cowon has released the 16GB D2PMP.

This gizmo is 2.5 inches thick and has s a 16 million color 24 bit FT-LCD - QVGA (320×240) Touchscreen. It has the usual functions: audio and video player, FM Tuner, voice recorder and text and photo viewer.

The video player, supports the following formats: MP3, WMA, OGG and WAV files. The video players supports: AVI and WMV formats. It also has PlaysForSure Support. For text and photo viewing the 16GB D2PMP supports JPEG as its best option. 16GB D2PMP also supports Windows 98, 98se, ME, 2000 and Windows XP. Not excluding of course, MAC and Linux.

Cowon 16GB D2PMP allows users up to 52 hours of continues playback. That is about 10 movie hours. Users of this all-in-one gadget also have the option of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB on-board memory capacities. The Cowon 16GB D2PMP goes for US$240, plus an additional $70, if you are a memory addict and want another 16GB worth of storage capacity.
