Roachbot 2.0, Now With iPhone or iPad Controller

While cockroaches are quite disturbing pests for most people, they also sometimes become quite interesting to some. They usually have turned out to become toys to annoy people with a certain dislike for them, who may be pretty much everybody. But the fun becomes more evident having robot cockroaches that you can control using an iPhone or iPad to control it like what the Roachbot 2.0 offers.

The Roachbot 2.0 is the recent upgrade to the previous Roachbot developed by Japan Trust Technologies. This time, the new robot cockroach can now be controlled using an Apple device. Owners of the Roachbot 2.0 can download a free app exclusive for the Apple smartphone and tablet. When attached with an infrared light device, the iOS device becomes a remote control for the Roachbot, able to control the speed, direction as well as the movement of the robot cockroach. A trim correction slider is also available to correct slight adjustments to make the Roachbot react accurately to controls. The Roachbot 2.0 is currently only available in Japan for 2,980 Japanese Yen or around US$37.
