In this day and age of the Internet, most of our lives are directly associated with online connectivity. But as this becomes an important part of our daily lives, it has also become a target of many threats. From endangering children to identity theft, online connectivity can pose as a problem if it is not being made more secure. There are many ways this can be done. In the case of protecting home networks, Roqos is offering the world’s first cloud-based Wi-Fi router service along with their Roqos Core router.
The new Roqos Core high performance router now comes with its cloud-based service that allows people to control their home networks from the cloud. That means home owners can control, monitor, and limit usage via the Roqos app even when they are not at home. The service also provides better cybersecurity measures to ensure that home networks also get some enterprise-grade protection from online threats. Along with the service, users of the Roqos Core Wi-Fi router are given better parental controls of their home network, a more affordable cybersecurity protection and easy setup.
In itself, the Roqos Core router comes with a 2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB memory and 8GB of storage. It can provide networks with high-speed Internet access coupled with better protection against harmful online threats. It also comes with a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch for high-speed connection for devices that are directly connected to it. Its simultaneous Dual Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi can provide flexibility, better uninterrupted performance, and allow network setups with a total bandwidth of 1600Mbps. The five powerful built-in antennas inside the Roqos Core eliminate the dead zones and ensure equal signal availability throughout the home.
The Roqos Core is available for pre-order at their website for $19. Subscription to the locked-in 12-month cloud-based Wi-Fi service is expected to be $17 for the first month. The first units of the Roqos Core are expected to start shipping around September of this year.
