XSEED Games, a console publishing brand based in the US, has announced that it will distribute the battle adventure game “Senran Kagura Burst” for North American digital release in the Nintendo 3DS this fall. The side-scrolling action game features an all-well-endowed-female cast studying in two underground schools for ninjutsu.
The video game is popular in Japan not just for its slice-and-dice action, but also how its characters have the ability to draw in their gamer masters with the power of their bouncing breasts, as well as the “strip ninjutsu” style of gameplay. “Senran Kagura Burst” has spawned a successful anime and manga series in the Land of the Rising Sun, not to mention a slew of fan-made porn.
The game has two separate storylines, namely “Skirting Shadows” and “Crimson Girls”. Skirting Shadows introduces players to the good girls of Hanzo Academy, while Crimson Girls tells the same story but in the point-of-view of students from rival Hebijo Academy.
Players can choose from among 10 characters, five from each academy. Both schools have a Ninja Room, where characters interactions unveil the thoughts and feeling of students before and after each mission. Each character has a set of combat assignments, which includes retrieval missions, multi-character fights, and epic boss battles.
The objective of the game is rather simple: the first ninja girl to destroy and remove the rival’s shinobi outfit wins. The English version of the game keeps the original Japanese voice-overs, with English subtitles. And with the power of stereoscopic 3D, players can witness the full glory the game can deliver.
Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, Senran Kagura Burst will be available on the Nintendo eShop in North America later this year.
