Yes, that black shiny object that could be mistaken for an artsy office trash can is the new Mac Pro’s “sleek” new look. But don’t be fooled, that back panel lights up when it senses your movement.

The Mac Pro will be assembled in the USA. Its graphics and memory are built around a “unified thermal core” that now boasts of an Intel Xeon E5 processor that supports up to 12-cores, ECC memory with double the performance, PCIe flash storage, USB 3.0 ports and six Thunderbolt 2 ports with 20 Gbps speed that is backward compatible and with speeds that are 25 times faster than FireWire 800.

The New Mac Pro  comes standard with dual-workstation GPUs (AMD FirePro) supporting up to three 4K displays; perfect for professional graphic designers and seasoned non-linear editing engineers.

The Mac Pro will be shipped “later this year”.
