So I am sitting here pedaling on my new FitDesk 2 and thinking I really need to write a review.
This is not my favorite thing to do but I feel I need to tell people about this product.
So what I have found is that it really works great for both my fitness
and my ability to get the extra things done, like sending a letter or email.
This was a pleasant surprise and I look forward to using it more everyday as part of my daily routine.
After having the FitDesk for a while I wonder how I lived without it.
Here is my list that I think will help others know what to expect.

Pros:
Comfortable Saddle and back rest with easy "pull" height adjustment knob
Desk Surface is extra gripping and slides back and forth to adjust to my height of 6'2" and my wife at 5'6"
Drawer under desk is nice touch
Ultra quiet and smooth pedaling also resistance level can be set very high
Arm exercise bands are great and easy to use
Massager is nice feature and I do use it
Feels stable when riding and no shaking screen
Folds up easy and rolls on wheels to make putting away fast
BEST OF ALL "I use it daily" unlike other exercise equipment I have tried

Cons:
Meter is simple, but keeps information so is easy to use
Would like other color option
Need 2 so I don't have to ask my wife if I can use it now

Great product, highly recommend because I am amazed at how much I use the product.

I purchased my fitdesk 2.0 on their website 2 weeks ago but am writing my review on Amazon for greater exposure. Due to my profession, I often have a inconsistent schedule, and the customer service department was very helpful in making sure that the desk would arrive on a day that I knew I'd be able to be home. Assembly was pretty standard for DIY construction. The overall machine is pretty much what you'd expect, an exercise bike with a desk attached. I can't really say much more, other than its surprising how quickly the mile equivalents rack up while you're on a computer for a few hours at a time (as I often am, hence my need to get back in shape with this bike!). Unfortunately, the meter that originally came with the bike had a faulty display, with one of the digits not appearing properly, but customer service quickly sent me a replacement that works perfectly. Doesn't hurt that the one battery-operated part of the bike comes with batteries, as well. I did initially have a click sound similar to what others reported on my first day of use, but it hasn't come back, so I'm not worried.

PROS:
- Great Customer Service.
- All around good bike
- The desk surface is relatively 'grippy,' helping to keep whatever is on it in place fairly well.

CONS:
- Display is located behind where most users will have their laptop, thus requiring the user to close the laptop in order to see the display.
- The holes lining the perimeter of the display look as though they'd be ideal for putting a power cord through, but are too narrow for even a sleek Macbook charger.
- The lip preventing a laptop from slipping off the desk is a little too low.

I spent the last year, almost to the day, riding my FitDesk X original exercise bike. I loved it, but did notice that after I'd been pedaling for a little while and using my computer, my forearms would be kind of achy. I'd feel like I was sitting in a kind of weird position. I also had to rig a solution for storing the little computer that keeps track of distance, time, and an approximation of calories burned. The velcro didn't last long for me. None of these little issuelets stopped me from keeping on pedaling, though.

And then FitDesk came out with the FitDesk X 2.0, and all the little things I wished were improved about the original Xbike came true! The new desk is a giant upgrade over the fabric-covered foam original (although I thought that was pretty clever!) There's a real nylon-web d-ring strap to hold on a laptop. On my original FitDesk, I "lost" the big rubber-band meant for holding on my laptop and raided one of my elastic belts. The new strap is better than that! The new desk is hard plastic with a kind of grippy surface, and a little stop on the edge closest to the rider. My laptop seems a lot more secure on this setup. Also, I don't have to worry about accidentally knocking this desk off the handlebars like would sometimes happen with my FitDesk original. The rolling-massaging forearm rest really helps, too. I don't feel like I have to sit so weird while I use it.

The little time-distance-calories computer is a vast upgrade from the old one, as well, and this time around, it has a little tab that goes into a slot in the back, holding it nice and securely at the center of the back of the desk.

Assembly was a snap.

I purchased 2 for my high school classroom. On the first day of school, the students were in disbelief that there was something so good. The asked "are we allowed to sit on these?" It was as if I had waved a magic want that could create delighted and engaged students. I only wish I had more! They are not distracting, and students to enjoy pedaling and moving while thinking. They take notes and participate, and take more time with their work because they are relaxed and comfortable. Some have expressed a desire to have one in the home. I even hop on when I have the room to myself. I find it fun and activating for work. It lightens and brightens my day to see my students happy as well as to have the freedom to move and work simultaneously. I will definitely be working on a way to get more of these!
